Atlanta Silverbacks Park Announces
10 Year Anniversary
Atlanta Silverbacks Sport and Social Club
This June marks 10 years since Atlanta Silverbacks Park opened its doors for league play. I want to thank you for making Atlanta Silverbacks Park the success that it has become!
From the beginning, the vision was not only to create the best, largest, and most competitive 7x7 soccer leagues in Metro Atlanta, but also to create an environment where participating players can get to know each other both socially and professionally. We have done an admirable job fulfilling the first part of that vision, but we haven’t done as much towards the latter goal. In spite of that, plenty of personal and professional relationships have been formed, and we have even seen two weddings from couples that met out on the field!
Looking forward over the next 10 years, we would like to do more to promote the social side of our vision. Today we are excited to introduce the Atlanta Silverbacks Sport and Social Club. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Park and the new formation of the Club, we will be hosting a party next month – details on the event will follow in the coming weeks.
As you have undoubtedly noticed, we have recently made several improvements to Atlanta Silverbacks Park, and we will continue making more in the coming weeks. The upper parking lot has been paved, a fence has been installed around the perimeter, automatic gates are being added, and lights and security cameras will be placed throughout the grounds. All of these improvements are being made to ensure that Atlanta Silverbacks Park is a safe and secure place for our members to enjoy the game of soccer and participate in our programs.
Going forward, the Atlanta Silverbacks Sport and Social Club will operate on a membership system. For those that have been playing at the Park since the beginning, you may remember that we have only raised our team prices once in our history. We will continue the same team rates for Club members, however, non-member team rates will slightly increase. Members of the Atlanta Silverbacks Sport and Social Club will also receive special discounts, offers and other invitations as we grow the Club!
At this time I would also like to introduce Raquel Huerta, who will serve as the Community Ambassador for Atlanta Silverbacks Sport and Social Club. Raquel will be presenting exciting new events and offerings in addition to and beyond the games on the field. She is joined by Park Leagues Manager Scott Wheeler, Extra Time Bar and Grill Co-Managers Stas Kim and Lana Pak, Prize League Managers Gabriel Diaz and Gabriel Fernandez, Facilities Manager Byron Beckwith, Maintenance Manager Jose De Lima, and many more part-time staff personnel and referees who will all work together to bring new dimensions to your experience at the Park.
On behalf of everyone at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, I want to thank you again for making the last 10 years an enjoyable experience. Let’s make the next 10 years even better!
