Kandji Named to Best 11

ATLANTA—The Silverbacks' Mac Kandji was named to the USL-1 weekly Best 11 Tuesday.

Kandji scored the winning goal in the Silverbacks 1-0 win over the Carolina RailHawks last Saturday off a curling free kick in second half added time.

Kandji is the fifth Silverback to earn the honor this season. Also named were Matt Bobo, David Hayes, Jason McLaughlin, and Ansu Toure.

The win moved the Silverbacks to 3-3-2 on the season, keeping them in seventh place in the table with 11 points.

The Silverbacks are in action again on Friday, hosting the Puerto Rico Islanders (1-3-2, five points, 11th place) at Silverbacks Park. Kickoff is at 7:55 p.m. The match will be televised nationally on Fox Soccer Channel.

Rochester's Matthew Delicate earned Player of the Week honors for his goal and assist in the Rhino's win 2-1 win over Portland which put Rochester in the win column for the first time this season.
