On and off the field, 2007 was a banner year for the Atlanta Silverbacks. Both the men's and women's team appeared in their respective league finals, attendance soared, and the Silverbacks brought world-class soccer to Atlanta. And none of it would have been possible without the faithful support of our fans.

As a token of our gratitude, the Silverbacks are proud to host Fan Appreciation Night at Saturday's home opener versus heated rival Carolina RailHawks. It is our pleasure to treat fans in attendance at Saturday's match to complementary catered food.

Food service will begin five minutes after kickoff, and continue until approximately the match's 60-minute mark. But don't worry about missing a moment of the action on the field. Service stations will be conveniently located within view of the field.

Of course, snacks and beverages will be on sale throughout Silverbacks Park-which underwent more than $2 million in upgrades over the off season.

This year's team looks to be the best to ever wear the red and black, with 13 returning players from last year's stunning USL-1 finalist squad, along with several exciting off season acquisitions.

So come out and support Atlanta's team, see the many improvements to the stadium first hand-and have dinner on us.
