Construction continues for Phase II of RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium and Atlanta Silverbacks Park. The additional development will include the creation of a 5,500 square foot building space under the East side stands. The building will include permanent bathroom facilities, home and visitor locker rooms and a training room.
“We are looking forward to the latest phase of improvements being completed at the facility and feel that this will further improve the experience for our fans, but will also benefit our 650,000 annual visitors – on a daily basis ,” comment Michael Oki, Director of Atlanta Silverback Parks.
In addition to the expansion under the East side stands, fans and visitors will also see: a new VIP Plateau on the hill overlooking the stadium, concrete and permanent fencing behind the west side stands, concession areas, two sets of stairs on both the East and West sides, and the paving of the road to the top parking lot.
ATLANTA SILVERBACKS PDL SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED – SEASON OPENS AT HOME MAY 9th
The 2008 PDL schedule was announced last week by the USL, with the Silverbacks kicking off their season at home on May 9th. The 16-game regular season will feature eight home games at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium, kicking off on May 9th and finishing in late July on the road. The Silverbacks PDL will see action against many regional rivals including the Carolina Dynamo, Cary Railhawks and Nashville Metros.
