Wednesday July 11, 2007

The Atlanta Silverbacks host the internationally known Rayados de Monterrey of the Mexican First Division tonight at 7:55 p.m. at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium. In addition, fans will be invited to an exclusive autograph signing and photograph session with the beautiful Senadoras from Univision’s “Republica Deportiva,” who will be onsite to show their support for the sport.

SILVERBACKS RESUME REGULAR SEASON PLAY AT HOME ON SATURDAY
After playing two games outside of the USL First Division regular season, the Atlanta Silverbacks will resume their playoff hunt when they host the Rochester Raging Rhinos on Saturday, July 14th at 7:55 p.m at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium. The ‘Backs currently sit in sixth place in the USL table with 22 points and a 6-5-4 record. The Silverbacks went undefeated in their first four games of the season before hitting an early-season slump with a 1-5-2 record. Atlanta broke free from the slump with three-consecutive wins against strong USL-1 teams, including the league-leading Vancouver Whitecaps. The Silverbacks took down the Rhinos 2-0 on the road, the Charleston Battery 3-2 at home, and the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 at home. Rochester will be seeking revenge against Atlanta on Saturday while the ‘Backs look for their fourth consecutive win.
The first 500 fans at the game will receive Silverbacks Cups. For ticket information call 404-969-4900 or visit
