WOMEN PLAY CHARLOTTE ON THURSDAY – RIVALRY REARS ITS HEAD ONCE AGAIN

Every time the Silverbacks Women take on the Charlotte Lady Eagles fans can expect intense match-ups all over the field, hard fought battles for 50-50 balls, and lots of shots and goals. When the Silverbacks host the Lady Eagles on Thursday night at 7:55 pm in an exhibition match, it will be no different. Although the game will not count towards the 2007 USL W-League season, the true nature of a rivalry will appear when the players exhibit the same intensity and attitude on the field.

The two teams have met twice this season with the Eagles winning 3-0 in Charlotte and the Silverbacks winning 2-0 in Atlanta. The game may not count towards their regular season, but it will break the tie in their 2007 series and that will surely bring exciting play to RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium once again.

The Silverbacks Women remain in first place of the W-League’s Atlantic Division. The team will resume regular season play on Saturday evening in Florida when they take on the Cocoa Expos
