BATTLE FOR BRAGGIN' RIGHTS BEGINS - ATLANTA HEADS TO CHARLESTON THIS SATURDAY

Thursday May 24, 2007

The Atlanta Silverbacks’ biggest rival is without question, their neighbors in the Palmetto State - the Charleston Battery. For years, the Silverbacks and the Battery have been battling for wins, cups, and most importantly, bragging rights. The rivalry will heat up again for the 2007 season this Saturday night at Blackbaud Stadium when the teams go head-to-head for the first time this season. Atlanta, 3-2-2, currently sits in third place of the USL First Division Standings with 11 points; Charleston, 1-2-2, currently sits in fifth place with five points. Regardless of wins, points, or standings, the match-ups between the Silverbacks and the Battery never fail to entertain fans and create excitement. Watch the game live online at www.usllive.com.
The Silverbacks will return home next Saturday (6.2.07) for a chance to invoke revenge against Miami FC at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium at 7:55 pm.  Tickets can be purchased online at
www.atlantasilverbacks.com or by calling 1-866-GO-BACKS.
