Atlanta’s youth soccer players have lots to look forward to this spring; the Atlanta Silverbacks Elite Youth Club has created many new opportunities for players to reach the next level and improve their game, while still having a great time! The Silverbacks Elite Youth Club consists of the Silverbacks PDP/Super-Y program (May-August) and the Silverbacks Youth program (August – May).

PDP/SUPER-Y PROGRAM TRYOUTS
The Silverbacks PDP program sent six teams to the Super-Y League North American Finals in Tampa last November. The tournament provided invaluable experience to the participating players, including national recognition, competition against the best teams in North America, and important exposure to coaches from across the country. The PDP program will be hosting tryouts for the 2007 squads on January 27 at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. Tryouts are open to players from all clubs in the U13-U17 age groups.
Members of the Atlanta Silverbacks Youth Club and Georgia FC will have the $25 registration fee waived. Players should register as normal, but click on the “check” option when applying online; then make sure to wear your Silverbacks or GFC game jersey to tryouts and the fee will be waived. YOUTH PROGRAM - Fitness Camp, Junior Backs, Academy Tryouts

Jumpstart your spring sports season with the Silverbacks Fitness Camp! The camp will focus on fast footwork, speed, and agility. The camp will culminate in a round of small sided games. This three day camp will teach you great ways to improve your fitness while also getting you ready for the spring season. The camp includes three training sessions and costs $50. Wondering if your son or daughter is ready to make the jump from recreational soccer to the academy level? Join the Junior Backs Program, a link between the recreational level and our Silverbacks Academy program. The Junior Backs spring training program, open to boys and girls recreational players ages 7-10, will give players the opportunity to train with a top level coach while deciding if our academy program is the right path for them. The schedule allows players to continue to play with their current recreation team. The program includes two training sessions a week on Monday and Thursday from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. Training sessions will begin on February 12 and run for 12 weeks. The cost is $175 and includes a t-shirt. Space is LIMITED: players must pre-register and space will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Click here for a registration form.

The Silverbacks Academy program is hosting open tryouts for the spring 2007 season on February 12 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
