WAFFLE HOUSE® AND ATLANTA SILVERBACKS RENEW PARTNERSHIP INTO 2007
The Atlanta Silverbacks today announced an expanded partnership with the world’s leading server of waffles, Waffle House® restaurants.
“Waffle House has supported the sports and fitness community for many years and we are thrilled about expanding our partnership with the Atlanta Silverbacks for the 2007 season,” commented Waffle House Area Vice President Carl Smith. “This is a great fit for Waffle House and the Atlanta Silverbacks and we look forward to an impressive season from the women’s team.”
The renewed partnership will see the Waffle House logo appear on the official game shorts of the Atlanta Silverbacks Women. In addition to the logo placement, Waffle House will donate tickets to deserving schools, charities, and local programs.
“It’s encouraging to see a national company based in Atlanta continue to support the Silverbacks Women; this in turn, recognizes the strength and importance of our local female youth athletes, active adult women, and all the dedicated soccer moms,” commented Laura Fedrigo, the Executive Director of the Atlanta Silverbacks Women. “Waffle House has been on board from the start of the franchise and it’s great to see them continue to actively support our program, our players, and our fans.”
The partnership between Waffle House and the Atlanta Silverbacks Women began with the launch of the women’s franchise in 2005. The Silverbacks Women compete in the USL W-League, the highest level of women’s soccer in North America. The Silverbacks’ 2007 season will run from April until July with seven home games at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium.

SUPER-Y PLAYERS HONORED FOR PERFORMANCE AT NORTH AMERICAN FINALS
The Atlanta Silverbacks sent six teams to the Super-Y League North American Finals, more teams than any other club in the southeast. The USL honored several players from the Silverbacks Super-Y program for their performance at the tournament:

Players from across the Atlanta-area compete for the Silverbacks Super-Y program. SILVERBACKS APPEAR IN ANNUAL CHOA CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARADE
Felipe Quintero and Sara Steinmann of the Atlanta Silverbacks Men and the Atlanta Silverbacks Women participated in the Children’s Christmas Parade, an annual charity event for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Quintero, Steinmann, and Socrates joined in the parade which officially kicked off the 2006 Festival of Trees on Saturday, December 2.
