Atlanta Silverbacks midfielder Melissa Tancredi was named to the 2005 W-League All-League team as announced by the United Soccer Leagues on Thursday. Midfielder Marci Miller-Jobson also earned league honors as she was named All-Central Conference on Wednesday.
Tancredi helped the Silverbacks Women to a third place finish in the Mid Atlantic Division with a 8-5-1 record. In 10 games with Atlanta in 2005, she recorded five goals and two assists for 12 points. She has nine caps with the Canadian National Team and led Notre Dame to the 2004 NCAA National Championship. Tancredi also earned W-League All-Conference honors this season.
Miller-Jobson was recognized as one the W-League’s top 33 players when she received All-Conference honors. As team captain for Atlanta, she scored four goals in the first four matches of 2005 before being called to train with the US National Team. Miller-Jobson earned her first international cap on June 25 in a friendly match against Canada.
