 ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Silverbacks Amateur Club will hold open tryouts on August 6th and August 13th, 2010 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. The tryouts are for all players looking to join the Atlanta Silverbacks Amateur Club, which is made up of 11-a-side teams. Current members of the Amateur Club are invited to bring friends to the tryouts or just to come out and play.

The tryouts are for men’s teams competing in the Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League (ADASL) in the D1, D2, and D3 divisions. There will be no tryouts for the Atlanta Silverbacks Amateur Club women’s teams. The Silverbacks have three women’s teams that compete at various levels of play within the Greater Atlanta Women’s Soccer Association (GAWSA). The women’s amateur season runs from mid-September to mid-November with games played on Sundays.

The ADASL season runs from September until April and consists of approximately 18 games. The cost to play depends on the team and ranges from $200 and $450 for an entire season. This includes all registration dues, field fees, practice fees, and uniform fees.

All players participating in tryouts must bring both a light and dark jersey to wear. Tryouts will conclude promptly at 9:00 PM. Tryouts will consist of a short warm-up, small-sided game, and full 11-a-side games.

Upon arriving at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, all attendees must register at the kiosk located at the North ticket booth.
