ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Silverbacks have acquired striker Duke Hashimoto from Real Salt Lake of the MLS this past week.
Hashimoto, a 5’7, 150 lb. forward from Kapolei, Hawaii, comes to the Silverbacks after competing with Real Salt Lake of the MLS for the past two seasons. With the RSL Reserves, he scored three goals in eight games, helping the team to a top-three finish.

After being selected in the fourth round (38th overall) of the 2006 MLS SuperDraft, Hashimoto spent time with the Columbus Crew before making the transition to Real Salt Lake.
Hashimoto finished a stellar career at Southern Methodist University, registering 26 goals and 20 assists in 71 career games. He accumulated numerous awards, including being named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Year, All-C-USA First Team, NSCAA All-America Second Team, SoccerTimes.com All-America Second Team, and CollegeSoccerNews.com All-America Third Team, among others.
He came to SMU as an outstanding high school player, being named the Hawaii State Player of the Year after his senior year of high school.
The acquisition comes on the day of the roster freeze for the USL-1.
