 Socrates – the Atlanta Silverbacks mascot – comes from the Jungles of Africa. He was Born and raised in Africa, but decided to come oversees to be a part of the Atlanta Silverbacks. The Atlanta Silverbacks soccer club was named after him – he was a silverback male – the leader of his tribe in Africa.
Leaving his relatives behind in the Jungles of Africa, he decided to start a new family of friends in Atlanta. Socrates decided to form a club for the youngest fans of the Silverbacks – the Gorilla Gang. All the kids that join his new club become members of the Socrates family.
Socrates is always at the Silverbacks home games. Due to his unconditional love for the game of soccer, he is always the most cheerful fan on game day. He loves to hang out with loud fans, entertain the crowd, and support the team. He promised to turn his Gorilla Gang into the loudest and most loyal section of the crowd.
In his own words, the new season will be the most fun and entertaining season for the Gorilla Gang and other fans at the home games. |
