As part of the Atlanta Silverbacks' 2013 Spring Season Championship Trophy Tour, members of the club's ownership, coaching staff, and team visited the office of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed on Monday afternoon.
Silverbacks Chairman Boris Jerkunica, Vice Chairman John Latham, Head Coach Brian Haynes, Goalkeeper Joe Nasco, Defender Martyn Lancaster, and Midfielder Borfor Carr headed down to the Mayor's office following training on Monday.
The group spoke with Mayor Reed about the season, presented him with an official team jersey and scarf, and then took photos with him holding the trophy. The trip to Mayor Reed's office won't be the only political visit for the Silverbacks. On August 7, they'll be paying Georgia Governor Nathan Deal a similar visit.
